I agree. Leave all the oil and natural gas in the ground. Fracking is too dangerous, too expensive and totally unnecessary for out energy needs. The chemicals used are toxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic. The well “flow back” or spent fracking fluids, can not be filtered, treated, distilled or made safe. The water used can never be recycled or made safe. The water is permanently destroyed and deadly, all for the quick fast buck. Fracking fluid is being dumped into landfills, wastewater treatment plants, sold or given to local municipalities for “dust control,” or for prepping roadways for winter storms. All the drillers or waste water haulers have to do is file a form with the PA Department of Environmental Protection that says that the “waste water has beneficial uses.” Some waste water haulers, just open the valves on their tanker on the road and their problem is solved, very cost effectively.
