When you mix Volatile Organic Compounds or VOC’s like xylene, toluene, benzene and ethyl ether with water, which are some of the components that we know of in fracking fluid, they can never be filtered out, chemically extracted or distilled to make the water safe and not toxic. It becomes what organic chemists call an ansiscopic mixture. It is toxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic. It destroys forever the water for any use. So, this law is wrong. Texas is going to cause the illness and death of its own citizens all for the quick, fast buck of the dying, climate change denying fossil fuel industry.
