We are at the tipping point now. Even by some miracle we stop burning all fossil fuels immediately the amount of carbon dioxide will still increase in the atmosphere along with methane from natural sources and uncapped wells for 100 years. We need to stop extracting and burning fossil fuels now, capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere & sequester it. We need an “Apollo Lunar Landing Type Project” to transition to a renewable energy future without fossil or nuclear power now. The only obstacle we face are the corrupt political leaders of our Federal and State government who have been bought off by the profit addicted fossil fuel, nuclear power and for profit, centralized electric utilities by their unlimited, secret PAC campaign donations to candidates from both political parties. Contrary to their propaganda, “we will not starve and freeze in the dark” nor “wreck our economy in the process of transitioning to a renewable energy economy.”
