Unsafe Shale-gas Extraction)

March 25th

Dear subscriber,

Supervisors Cancel their Monday Nov. 2nd Meeting

We just learned the Falls Township Board of Supervisors Cancelled the meeting at which they were planning to vote on the Elcon application.  The stated reason for cancellation was that "there were no agenda items to discuss."  Consequently there is no need to turn out on Monday.

This may be a political dodge to wait and see what the PA DEP does with the siting application later this month.  There would be no need for them to take the heat of an up or down vote if the DEP rejects the application before they vote. Whatever the motivation, we won't be going.

The Delaware Riverkeeper Network, the League of Women Voters Penna and the Clean Air Council are urging all concerned residents to attend these two meetings:
Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm
Bucks County Board of Supervisors
Bucks County Administration Building
Community Room, 1st Floor
55 E. Court Street
Doylestown, PA 18901
Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 1:30 pm
Delaware River Basin Commission
Washington Crossing Historic Park Visitor Center
1112 River Road, Washington Crossing, Pa.

The DEP decision on the Elcon siting is due by November 19th.
